DC Kishtwar chairs meeting of the Governing Body of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS)

In order to review the functioning and patient care facilities available in the district Hospital Kishtwar , Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS who is also the chairman of the RKS today convened a meeting of Governing Body of “Rogi Kalyan Samiti”(RKS),here.
The meeting was attended by CMO Kishtwar Dr. Mohd Yaqoob Mir, EXEN PWD Ravinder Kumar, EXEN PHE Sunil Kumar Sharma, Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr Javeeda Qazi, BMOs, prominent persons and other RKS members.
The DC took a detailed review of the functioning and fund flow of the District Hospital Kishtwar besides took stock of the progress of institution under different indicators. A threadbare discussions on the measures required with respect to future planning for the upgradation of the Hospital was also held in the meeting.
He was also informed about various issues and demands meant for the infrastructure upgradation and overall advancement of the healthcare system in the Hospital. The DC assured all possible support from the Administration for infrastructure development of the Hospital to further improve patient care in the hospital.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to follow the objectives as envisaged in RKS guidelines and stressed for resource generation and strengthening transparent mechanism in utilization of funds. He directed the concerned Tehsildar to demarcate the land identified for Parking space in the hospital premises.
During the meeting the Samiti approved the enhancement of Honorarium Rs 2000 in favour of HDF employees on pro-rata basis.
The DC asked the officers to work with added zeal and dedication to ensure efficient and prompt health and patient care facilities to the people. The concerned EXENs were directed to ensure the completion of pending repair and construction works in various healthcare facilities including the Eye Block at DH Kishtwar, approaching road to Sub Centre Bhadat, allied works in SC Ligri and Gulabgarh and PHC Afti, so that they can be handed over to the Health department for the better health care facilities being provided to the common masses on smooth basis.
During the meeting, DC stressed to increase the institutional deliveries by way of proper awareness and strengthening of health care facilities in primary health centers and common health centers. CMO Kishtwar was directed to conduct the training of the ASHAs and The Dai, or Skilled birth attendant (TBA) in rural India for safe postpartum care.
DC Kishtwar also reviewed the action taken report of the previous meeting of District Health Society.
CMO Kishtwar was directed to disengage the non performing ASHAs and replace them with new ASHAs.
Showing dissatisfaction over the poor performance under NCD screening, all the BMOs were asked to mobilize resources to ensure the Screening is completed in time and same shall be uploaded on the portal.
Enquiring the progress under E-Sanjeevini (Tele-consultation), CMO Kishtwar was directed to ensure that all the Medical officers/Doctors get their IDs whose services shall be utilized under the telemedicine services to be provided to the people of Kishtwar. Besides , the AYUSH Department was directed rationalize their staff in the rural areas on judicious basis so that better patient care facilities will be provided on time to the people in rural and far flung Kuntwara area.
