ACR kishtwar alongwith ALC Kishtwar Visits Power House site Pakal Dul HEP Kishtwar at Dool

Held a meeting with labour unions and listened grievances of labourers

Kishtwar,26-11-2022.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Kishtwar who is Nodal officer for Pakal Dul HEP Kishtwar today visited the power house site along with Assistant Labour Commissioner Kishtwar Amit Kumar to assess the progress of the project and working conditions of the labourers.

At the first instance, a meeting with representatives of Labour union, Contractors and officials of AFCONs Management was carried out in which a threadbare discussion on various issues faced by the labourers was held.

The key issues highlighted in the meeting include the timely wages of PRW category workers, transport facilities, safety equipment, drinking water, mess facilities, etc.

ACR kishtwar gave a patient hearing to the labour issues and directed the Company Authorities to release the payment timely for every month and delay in payment of wages is not tolerable.

Further ACR kishtwar directed company Management to resolve all the pending issues within weeks time so that labourers do not suffer anymore and work of the project is carried out without any hindrance.

He also instructed the AFCON management to ensure the proper safety of the worker who are especially working inside the power house and directed them to provide all safety equipments to the labourer.

Meanwhile, ACR kishtwar also visited the power house site and assessed the ongoing construction work of the Power house of pakal Dul HEP kishtwar.Project management was directed to speed up the work so that timely completion of the project is ensured.

Later on, ACR inspected the mess premises and inspected about the quality of food being served to the labourers and found it satisfactory. He enquired the workers about the food being provided to them and instructed cooks and company management that no compromise in providing the healthy and sufficient food shall be tolerated besides directed that food menu should include all types of food items instead of repeating the same food on daily basis.

Labourers union thanked the ACR Kishtwar and ALC kishtwar for visiting the site and redressing their issues.
