Minor boy injured after being attacked by leopard in Uri, hospitalised

Uri, Nov 11 : A minor boy was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Zamboor Pattan village of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
An official told the news agency that the boy identified as Tawseef Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq Tass of Zamboor Pattan was attacked by the leopard when he was playing outside his home.
He said that soon after the attack, family members and other people rescued the boy.
He added that the boy was immediately rushed to a nearby health facility for necessary treatment, where from he was referred to GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment.
The official said that the condition of the injured was said to be stable.

Srinagar Nov 12 : Police on Saturday arrested Accused in a hit-and-run accident in Harkarmulla area of Budgam in central Kashmir's Budgam district in which one girl aged about 15 years was killed.
in a statement they said that Police Post Soibugh received an information at about 10:30 hrs that a RTA took place at Hakermullah Budgam in which an unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian namely Iman Gulzar age about 15 years, daughter of Gulzar Ahmed Hajam resident of Harkarmulla Budgam. Accordingly, injured was taken to JVC Hospital for treatment where she succumbed to her injuries.
In this connection, a case FIR number 381/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up.

During his two days visit of Kishtwar and Doda, Dr. Sunil Gupta IPS, DIG DKR Range Batote today visit and inspected the border Nakkas of Distt Doda and Kishtwar. DIG checked the efficiency of CCTV Cameras installed at the Thathri Nakka and directed to install more CCTV cameras for effective policing and checking during day and night. Also repeated directions to install more and more CCTV cameras under Operation Third Eye are being given to all the District SSsP and a positive result has been observed of it during past.
DIG Range was accompanied by Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS SSP Kishtwar and Sh. Vishal Sharma Dy.SP PC Kishtwar.

In order to redress the grievances of people at their door step, a camp was held on Wednesday at Panchayat Patnazi-B of Tehsil Bounjwah, wherein Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Kishrori Lal Sharma (JKAS) listened to the grievances of the people.
During his visit he was accompanied by Tehsildar Bunjwah, Naib-Tehsildar Bunjwah and other revenue officials.
On the occasion, individuals and public deputations led by PRIs put forth issues and demands for augumentation of power,water supply, road connectivity and basic amenities.
Besides demand for ST hostel, issues of JJM schemes and land compensation to beneficiaries renovation of School buildings and Health institutions and other specific issues were also highlighted in the programme.
After listening to the demands and issues of the locals, the Additional Deputy Commissioner assured the public that all their genuine grievances shall be redressed in a time bound manner.
He appealed the PRIs and masses to join hand with administration and actively participate in the Nasha Mukht JK Abhiyan and other government schemes.
Besides ADC Kishtwar disbursed structure compensation to 20 structure owners whose structure have come under the alignment of Patnazi to Kither Road and distributed Land passbooks to several landowners of the area.
The public of the area thanked ADC Kishtwar for conducting camp in such far-flung area.
