DC Kishtwar conducts surprise inspection of Jal Shakti Office and Polytechnic College Kishtwar
Show cause notice served against the officials found absent from their legitimate duties

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav IAS today conducted a surprise inspection of the various govt offices including office of Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Hydraulic Division Kishtwar and Govt Polytechnic College Kishtwar to check the attendance of the staff and delivery of services to the general public.
The DC checked the biometric attendance and duty roaster and asked the staff to remain available to the public and solve their problems and grievances without any delay. He further asked to ensure the quality disposal of public grievances.
He also passed a slew of instructions to the Executive Engineer Jal Shakti in connection with the redressal of grievances of the public at the earliest.
Besides at Govt polytechnic College Kishtwar he also checked attendence registers of staff besides interacted with Engineering students and enquired about the learning gaps and teaching learning outcomes.
At both the offices some employees were found unauthorisedly absent and DC kishtwar has issued the show cause notice against the erring officials.
The DC also maintained that no laxity would be allowed in the maintenance of proper discipline, and punctuality in Government offices in the interest of the greater common good and efficient public service delivery.

Dr. Sunil Gupta IPS, DIG DKR Range Hqrs. Batote held a, crime review meeting of District Kishtwar at DPO Kishtwar today on 11-11-22. Meeting was held in order to review the targets achieved by the concerned Supervisory officers and SHOs keeping in view the ending of year 2022 such as crime disposal, missing and other absconders etc.
Reiterating the firm directions of MHA and worthy DGP J&K on ULAP and NDPS cases, DIG Range directed SSP Kishtwar and other officers present there to disposed off the said cases on merits on priority and appointment of PERVI officers for the said cases so that the accused persons may be convicted. DIG also strictly ordered all the IOs to investigate Backward and forward linkages especially in drugs recovery cases. He also asked them to focus on chemical and medical drugs and ensure of forfeiture of properties of accused involved in it.
Meeting was attended by Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Rajinder Singh-JKPS Addl. SP Kishtwar, Sh. Ashish Gupta-JKPS Dy.SP. Hqrs. Kishtwar, Sh. Zia-Ul-Haq Dy.SP DAR Kishtwar, Sh. Vikram Singh-JKPS SDPO Atholi and all SHOs of District Kishtwar

Minor boy injured after being attacked by leopard in Uri, hospitalised

Uri, Nov 11 : A minor boy was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Zamboor Pattan village of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
An official told the news agency that the boy identified as Tawseef Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq Tass of Zamboor Pattan was attacked by the leopard when he was playing outside his home.
He said that soon after the attack, family members and other people rescued the boy.
He added that the boy was immediately rushed to a nearby health facility for necessary treatment, where from he was referred to GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment.
The official said that the condition of the injured was said to be stable.
