Yashu Vardhan slams J&K Govt for thrusting miseries on people, asserts NC is the only solution

JAMMU, NOV 2: Yashu Vardhan Singh, Additional Spokesperson Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, while slamming J&K Union Territory Administration for not showing any serious concern for the general public of this region who are facing a mountain of problems and issues pertaining to development, provision of basic facilities besides a lot others, asserted that only National Conference is capable of getting rid of people’s miseries if voted to power.
The National Conference leader expressed this while addressing a meeting at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan here today.
Yashu Vardhan Singh said that the prime duty of the Govt is to facilitate the living conditions of the people but it is an irony that the incumbent UT Administration is taking every decision that is anti-people and adds further to the load of the miseries thrust upon them due to the wrong policies of the Govt. When the people were preparing the auspicious festival of Diwali, they were handed over enhanced power bills as Diwali gift which left the people stunned and shocking hitting them below the belt.
The National Conference leader also lambasted the Govt for creating so much hype about the so called Smart City project in Jammu while the fact remains that the people of Jammu have been worst hit by Dengue due to administration’s utter failure to maintain proper cleanliness and sanitation in the region. He said that this is evident from the heaps of garbage lying across the City of Temples. He said that the despite the situation being already serious with more than 90 per cent Dengue cases reported from Jammu district alone, the Govt continues to be in deep slumber.
Castigating the J&K Govt on the development front, Yashu Vardhan accused it of ignoring the local people while hiring and engaging workers in several ongoing central projects in Jammu region like AIIMS, railway projects, power projects, etc from outside Jammu and Kashmir.
Abdul Ghani Teli, Provincial President OBC Cell JKNC and Vijay Lochan, Provincial President SC Cell JKNC, in their address, urged the workers to strengthen OBC and SC Cell of the party at grass roots level across Rajouri and Poonch districts. They asked the party cadres to conduct door to door campaigns in their region and make the people aware about the achievements of National Conference and that only National Conference can get rid of all their miseries if voted to power.
Surankote MC Chairman and Vice President Pir Panjal Zone, Mumtaz Ahmed; Rakesh Singh Raka, Vice President Jammu Zone and Kousal Malik Publicity Secretary Reasi Zone, also spoke in the meeting and assured to strengthen the party at grass roots level.
