“`Kishtwar Police arrested 01 drug peddler and recovered approx 90 Gms of Cannabis (Charas) like substance from his Possession.

A special Naka Led by SHO of PS Chatroo Insp Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday laid at Zalla Chatroo under the supervision of DySP DAR Kishtwar Sh. Zia-Ul-Haq. During extensive checking of vehicles and pedestrian Police party noticed suspicious movement of one Pedestrian who was trying to escape from the naka party. Subsequently, Naka party by acting swiftly overpowerd him. While checking naka party recovered Cannabis (Charas) like substance weighing about 90 gms from his possession and took him under custody.

The arrested person disclosed his identity as Tanveer Ahmed S/o Mohd Iqbal Bhat R/o Zalla Chatroo.

In this regard a case FIR No. 88/2022 U/Sec. 8/20 NDPS Act registered at P/S Chatroo and investigation taken-up.“`
