
DC kishtwar finalises the arrangements for the celebration of Urs Shah Asrar-Ud-Din Sahib (RA)
Kishtwar 31-10-2022: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav today convened a meeting of district and sectoral officers of line departments to discuss and finalise the arrangements for the celebration of Urs Shah Asrar-ud-Din Sahib (RA) here at Conference Hall DC office complex Kishtwar.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ADC Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma,ASP Rajinder Singh, ACR Kishtwar Varunjeet Singh Charak,SDM Chatroo/CEO KDA Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Account Officer DC Office Imran Ahmed Kichloo besides other district officers and the members of management committee Shah Asraria Darbar.
The members of management committee Shah Asraria Darbar apprised the chair that the Urs shall be celebrated on 9th and 10th of Nov 2022.They put forth their demands and issues regarding the arrangements of Urs celebration including the uninterrupted power and water supply, Cleanliness and sanitation at the shrines,Baitul-Zaireen, Chowgan Ground and Kishtwar town besides make an effective traffic management plan for smooth conduct of Urs.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all the concerned departments to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place well in advance including the uninterrupted power and water supply, necessary sanitation and cleanliness at both shrines (Astan Paien & Astan Balla) , at Chowgan Ground and in the Kishtwar town,fire tenders,street light,Health and emergency facilites and ambulance in chowgan ground so that devotees feel no inconvience during the celebration.
ExEn PHE Kishtwar was directed to ensure uninterrupted water supply in the town and adjoining areas besides was directed to ensure that the tanker facility is made available for devotees in the Chowgan Ground.
EO Municipality and XEn R&B were directed to ensure the temporary and portable toilets are set up at Chowgan Ground.
Besides EO Municipality was directed to ensure the cleanliness and lime-lining of route to shrines and replacement of non-functional lights in the streets of town for hassle free movement of devotees.
CEO KDA and EO Municipality were asked to come up with a rational layout plan for the installation of stalls by vendors in chowgan ground after prior permission is issued to them by concerned.
DC also said for proper management of traffic to be made. It was revealed in the meetings that parking place for commercial vehicles shall be at ITI ground and Circus ground near SSP office Kishtwar.
ARTO Kishtwar was asked to ensure adequate number of buses and other passenger vehicles for hassle free movement of devotees.
Various other arrangements were also discussed in the meeting which includes establishment of control room with PAS system and other facilitation services besides availablity of LPG and fuel for langar, providing tents and shamyana for devotees and elaborated security arrangements.
It was also informed that Special Sufi Song night programme will be organised by District administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Kishtwar Development Authority in the venue on the occasion of Urs.
KDA and cultural department were asked to fine tune the arrangement well in advance for the smooth conduct of the programme on Urs
