Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS) Dstrict Kishtwar organized sports event in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Tug Of War at zone Drabshalla under ongoing Jan Abhiyan ahead of fourth phase of Back to Village Programme (B2V4).
Additional Secretary,YSS Garbi Rashid was the Chief Guest and DYSSO Kishtwar K L Sharma and DYSSO Doda Jaffar Haider were the Guest Of Honour on the occasion.
Besides more than 100 youth hailing from different Panchayats of zone Drabshalla participated in the sports events in the discipline of Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Tug Of War to showcase their talent.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest threw light on the significance of Sports and Games in the life of a person, besides said that it is an opportunity for the local Youth to showcase their talent and make it as their career in long run.
He also added that Sports can be instrumentals in keeping the Youth away from the menace of drugs and other anti-social elements and appealed Youth and the parents to encourage their children to take part in sports for the a prosperous and healthy life.
