ACB produced chargesheet against 19 Public servants and 08 beneficiaries in illegal and fraudulent appointments and
regularization in PHE, District Baramulla

Anti corruption Bureau produced chargesheet in Case FIR No. 12/2010 PS VOK (Now ACB) against 27 accused persons including 19 public servants and 8 illegal beneficiaries before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Baramulla in a case related to alleged misuse of official position & illegal appointments/ regularization in PHE Dept by the officers/ officials of PHE Division Baramulla.

  1. The instant case was registered on the outcome of the verification conducted by ACB into the allegations of illegal appointments/regularization etc.
  2. The investigation conducted by Anti-Corruption Bureau has revealed that the Government had issued an order for regularizing
    service of daily rated workers of PHE Dept of Kashmir Division who
    had completed 07 years of service in different PHE Divisions of
    Kashmir as Helpers. But about 8 beneficiaries were fraudulently
    appointed/ regularized as Helpers under the garb of the said Govt.
    Order by the accused public servants, when the names of these
    appointees were not existing in the said Govt. Order No. 288 PW of
    1996 dated 28.09.1996 and as such they were not entitled for such
    regularization and their appointment and regularization was illegally affected by the accused officers/officials by way abuse of their official positions under a well knit conspiracy hatched with these accused beneficiaries. The investigation conducted by ACB has also
    revealed that the accused public servants in league with these accused beneficiaries have also resorted to cheating and forgery of records.
  3. On the basis of cogent and clinching evidence brought on record by the ACB, the investigation established the commission of offences U/S 5(1) (d) 5(2) of the prevention of corruption Act, Samvat 2006 r/w section 120-B, 420, 467, 468, 471 RPC against the 19 accused public servants including 8 illegal beneficiaries.
  4. After thorough investigation, ACB Produces Charge Sheet in the case before the Hon’ble Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption
    Baramulla for judicial determination against accused public servant

    Engineer PHE Division Baramulla (now retired) S/o Habibullah Dar R/o

    Srinagar, 4). Late Gh Nabi Sheikh, the then Executive Engineer PHE
    Division Baramulla (now retired and Expired on 07.07.2021) S/O Gh.

    Bagat Srinagar 5). Nazir Ahmad Zonga, the then Executive Engineer PHE

  5. The next date in the case has been fixed for hearing by Hon’ble
    court on 10.05.2022.

Kishtwar, 22 November 2022.
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar Sham Lal today visited District Hospital Kishtwar and inspected the ongoing civil work of additional 100 bedded IPD besides took took stock of functioning of District Hospital Kishtwar and patient care.
He was accompanied by Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr Javeda Banoo besides concerned officers of the executing agencies.
During the inspection, he was apprised that the work in the additional 100 bedded building adjacent to District Hospital Kishtwar is in full swing and will be completed in stipulated time frame.
He asked the Medical Superintendent to monitor the progress of the project closely to facilitate early augmentation of the additional block.
During the visit, the site selection for 20 bedded paediatric Ward were also discussed wherein it was apprised by the MS District Hospital Kishtwar that team of expert committee has also been constituted for the said purpose.
ADDC Kishtwar asked the MS DH Kishtwar that the paediatric ward must be nearby to labour room which may ease the shifting of child.

Authorities on Tuesday closed Mughal road due to snowfall along Pir ki Gali (PKG), keeping in view safety of passengers on the thoroughfare which connects Shopian with twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri.
Confirming it, Dysp Traffic Rajouri-Poonch Range Aftab Bukhari told that the road will be opened after improvement in weather.
Meanwhile weatherman here said that light to moderate rain over plains and light snowfall over high reaches was most likely at scattered to fairly widespread places of Jammu and Kashmir on October 19 evening to morning of October 20. “There will be gradual improvement in weather from October 20th late afternoon,” a meteorological department official said here, adding, “There’s No forecast of any Major snowfall for next one week to 10 days in J&K and Ladakh.”

16 bikes of stunt performers seized by PS Nagrota Jammu.
An information was received at PS Nagrota regarding bikers who perform stunts at Sidhra road area in the the jurisdiction of PS Nagrota which cause trouble and risk not only their own lives but also life of other people.
Acting swiftly and stringently police teams of PS Nagrota constituted under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and led by SHO PS Nagrota Inspr Vishav Partap Singh assisted by I/C PP Sidhra SI Majid Hussain did strenuous efforts and after timely intervention finally nabbed 16 stunt bikers and seized their bikes.
Bikes were seized under relevant sections of MV Act at PS Nagrota.
Moreover, Jammu Police strictly warns youths not to engage in such life threatening activities like bike stunts which can cause risk to their lives as well as those nearby.
