*JANTA DAL UNITED DEMANDS CONSIDERATION OF DEVELOPMENT IN DISTRICT KUPWARA*
The Chairman J&K Migrants JD(U),Sh.Piaray Lal Pandita has putfourth the following burning demands for immediate consideration by the Honble Lieutenant Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Education, Techanical/Higher Education, Works and Public Health Engineering, Managing Director, JKRTC, Secretary Irrigation and Flood Control, Rural Development, Secretary Health and Medical Education Department and Secretary Tourism Department.
1.Indra nagar Muchipora Handwara locality is without water supply since last four years inspite of repeated representation by Madam Mubeena Ji District President JD(U) besides registering a grievences by her but nothing done by concerned authorities, who are requested to consider the demand at an earliest for ensuring laying of water supply scheme functional.
2.In Village Karihama and Gotangoo of Teh. Kupwara the people are suffering for want of water supply scheme and the Chairman JD(U) migrants J&K has demanded earliest installation of water supply scheme in these villages so that people may not suffer on this account.
3.A sixty year old Irrigation Khoul Called as Bijli Koul raised from Nalla Kehmil was irrigating more than one lac kanals of irrigated land in villages Karihama, Gotangoo, Dedikoot, and Gushi partial, has got cracked and collapsing of bases from Dedikoot to Karihama, thereby leaving the irrigated land of more than one lac kan al unirrigated. The Chief Engineer Irrigation and Flood Control is requested to look into the matter personally and renovation of this important Khoul taken up to restrain the Agriculturist from any sufferings on this account.
4.Being a dense populated area in Lolab Vallay, Chokibal Valley, Ramhal Valley, Rajwar Region and Mawar Area of Kupwara District, the Managing Director, JKSRTC is requested to regulate to and fro Battery New Model SRTC buses from:-Kupwara to-Villgam-Tartpora, Kupwara to Chokibal, Via Trehgam, Kralpora, Kupwara to Sogam, Tekipora, Kupwara to Rajwar, Kupwara to Mawar Nowgam, daily to and fro at least six trips daily, so that the daily accidents are avoided due to overloading caused by non availability of sufficient private transport 5.Upgradation of seventy year old High School at Karihama although now H.S.S. Requires to be upgraded as Degrees College, with sanction of a Girls High School is the earnest demand in village Karihama covering students of more that twenty adjacent villages. 6.Being densely populated area a Health centre requires to be opened in Village Karihama.
7.There is a famous ancient Ground consisting of more than 300 kanals available at Pir wuder Karihama which requires conversion into a Sports Stadium/Tourist Resort as there is a Famous Ziaret adjacent to the Ground called Baba Behram Shahib where thousands of people visit to get their problems solved.
8.Kupwara Town Bus Stand needs widening as conjestion of transport is always prone to damages accidents, or another alternate bus stand is required to be installed near the market to decrease the pressure of transport on old bus stand.
9.The Tourism Department is requested to bring the Lolab Valley including Machil area , Laderwan Zirhama Avoura Area, Lone Hari, Ferkian and Keran Area, Chokibal Drangyari Area, Bungus And Doodpathri Area, Mawar and Rajwar Area on National Tourist Map for development of these natural designed areas for attraction of tourists.
10.Last year Perhapes as an eye wash the District Election Officer had deployed Election Teams to Jammu for updating Voter Lists, Voter Cards, and procurement of photographs, but since lapse of about ten months nothing seems to have been done as we at Jammu has not yet recieved any voter card or corrected voter data uptodate. The District Election Officer is requested to personally look into the matter and the Voter data and Voter photo. Cards issued , so that we at Jammu can feel as A class voters of U. T. yet please. The U. T. Govt. is requested to take immediate and earliest action for mitigating and fullfill ment of above captioned demands.Besides above there is a Hidden Treasure of Marble stones in the hilly area of Merhama, Zirhama, Awoora and Shumnag Villages of Kupwara District, requires to be taken ove by Govt. Under its own control for making a aila le a vast Employment Avenue to unemployed youth of the District by installation of marble industries in the above villages
