NHM Employees Unit Kishtwar visits Late Afaq Ahmed ‘s residence,Offers Condolences to family

National Health Mission (NHM) employees Kishtwar viz Dr Nazir Hussain, Medical Officer,
Dr Noor ul Hassan ,Medical Officer, Altaf Hussain Wani ,Ashiq Hussain (Pharmacist ) visited the house of Late Afaq Ahmed (MMPHW ) at his residence
Thachna Dachhan,
Who lost his life in a tragic accident at Rennie Marwah of Block Dachhan District Kishtwar on 16.11.2020.
During the visit, the team offered their heartfelt condolences to the family members on the sad demise of Afaq Ahmed & prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul & strength to the bereaved family to bear this great loss.
NHM employees unit kishtwar presented Condolence Certificate to the father of Late Afaq Ahmed ,Sh Bashir Ahmed (Retired CHO ).
Further NHM employees unit Kishtwar appealed worthy Mission Director NHM madam for all possible assistant and financial relief to the family members of the deceased as permissible under NHM guidelines.
The members said that Late Afaq Ahmed was a great asset to health department who always played a pivotal role for which he will always be remembered for his unstinted services. His sudden demise has created a great void, which will be unattainable to fill for the years to come.
NHM Employees as a part of goodwill gesture & solidarity with the bereaved family assured them that they will raise the issue at every forum, so that sacrifice given by Late Afaq Ahmed should not go waste.

2 Days Mock Drill Exercise commences at Kishtwar
Kishtwar,05-12-2022.
Two days Mock Drill began today under the overall supervision of Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Dr Devansh Yadav IAS, here at DC office complex.
On the first day of the exercise, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) demonstrated Table Top Exercise (TTEx) which is helpful in staying safe in the wake of an earthquake or landslide.
In the presence of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kishtwar Sham Lal, the exercise was conducted with the involvement of Police, UTDRF/ Civil Defense, Armed forces, Red Cross and representatives of NGOs.
Earlier, Assistant Commandant, 13th Battalion, NDRF, Javed Iqbal gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the structure and role of NDRF in India, its abilities, the list of machines used for dealing with all types of natural and man-made disasters, etc. Javed Iqbal stressed on the need to maintain coordination among the stakeholders during a disaster to reduce response time for rescue measures as District Kishtwar fall under IV and V earthquake seismic zones.
Heads of different stakeholder departments responded to the queries during the meeting.
A mock exercise would be conducted tomorrow at the GDC Kishtwar at 11:00 AM by the NDRF team to sensitise stakeholders about the rescue preparedness at the time of an earthquake.
Deliberations were also held on the utility of satellite phone, helipads, medial infrastructure and response team, hygiene and sanitation, drinking water supply, role of media, awareness and training to effectively tackle the unprecedented disaster in the district.
Among others present were Accounts Officer DC office Kishtwar Imran Ahmed Kichloo, ASI UTDRF, Secretary Red Cross Kishtwar Asgar Sheikh besides students and others.

Awareness programme on Financial and Cyber Frauds organised by RBI in collab with Lead Bank at GDC Kishtwar
Kishtwar, 22 Nov. 2022:
To educate the students of Govt Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar about increasing incidences of cyber-frauds and other financially illegal practices, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Kishtwar in collaboration with Lead Bank Office Kishtwar today organized Nation wide Intensive Awareness programme at Govt Degree College Kishtwar.
ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal was the chief guest on the occasion besides LDM Kishtwar, RSETI Director, Representative from JK Bank, Gramin Bank, HDFC Bank and KVIB Kishtwar, Prof Faisal Mushtaq besides scores of students also remained present during the program.
While speaking on the occasion, the LDM Kishtwar educated the students about financial and CyberFrauds in ppt detail with the help of audio-visual aids.
All the aspects of the cybercrime were covered as well as preventive measures were also discussed thoroughly.
Director RSETI educated the students about the preventive measures to be taken if anyone falls prey in fianancial fraud or Cyber Frauds. He also informed the participants about the 1930 Helpline on Cyber Frauds.
ADDC Kishtwar motivated to take interest in their studies rather than wasting time on mobile phones. He asked them to aware near and dears about Cyber Frauds.
A question answer session was also held in the end and the students were fully satisfied with answers of resource persons.
