DC Kishtwar appeals people to religiously stick to COVID protocol to avert third wave of corona

Also appealed the transporters, Shopkeepers and other stakeholders to follow CAB

Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma today urged people to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour religiously to safeguard their life.

He said that as the graph of the virus is going up in the country, people need to be extra cautious to avoid the third wave by not lowering their guard.

He has appealed the transporters, Shopkeepers and other stakeholders to abide by the laid down COVID guidelines/SOPs issued by the govt. from time to time so that the spreading virus infection can be contained in effective manner.

He has urged people to co-operate the administration in the effective implementation of COVID containment measures.

The Deputy commissioner said that the administration will not allow any violation of Covid protocol and action shall be taken against the violators under the various provisions of relevant Act.

Besides,he urged parents to get their children between the age of 15 to 18 vaccinated at the earliest.

He informed that the dose of vaccine can be had from selected schools, special vaccination camps and other vaccination centres as well.

Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner solicited the PRIs and the religious leaders to sensitise the common masses to stick to the universal usage of face mask,maintain social distancing,and maintain hygiene by frequent hand washing besides take age appropriate COVID protection vaccination on time.

Minor boy injured after being attacked by leopard in Uri, hospitalised

Uri, Nov 11 : A minor boy was injured after being attacked by a leopard in Zamboor Pattan village of Uri in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
An official told the news agency that the boy identified as Tawseef Ahmed son of Mohammad Sadiq Tass of Zamboor Pattan was attacked by the leopard when he was playing outside his home.
He said that soon after the attack, family members and other people rescued the boy.
He added that the boy was immediately rushed to a nearby health facility for necessary treatment, where from he was referred to GMC Baramulla for advanced treatment.
The official said that the condition of the injured was said to be stable.

“`Kishtwar Police conducted Thana Diwas at Police Station Kishtwar, Atholi, Marwah of District Kishtwar.
The ‘Thana Diwas’ programme was chaired by the SSP Kishtwar Sh. Shafqat Hussain Batt-JKPS, DySP Hqrs Kishtwar and SHO PS Ktr at PS Kishtwar and other PSs were presided by concerned supervisory officers.
The meetings were attended by the Sarpanches, members of civil societies,shopkeeper associations and respectables of concerned areas.
The Thana Divas is aimed at disposing off the complaints and grievances of the public on the spot and to make police – public relations better in the prevention and detection of crime with the healthy support of general public.
During the meeting, many issues raised by the participants were resolved on the spot.
Officers gave the patient hearing to the grievances of public and assured that police related issues will met on priority and issues related to civil administration will be taken up with civil administration for early redressal with feedback reports.
SSP Kishtwar Mr. Batt-JKPS also requested the participants to co-operate with Police and administration in maintaining law & order in the area and in identifying anti-national & anti-social elements. Participants were also apprised about the trending cybercrime and modus operandi of cyber criminals.
The participants appreciated the initiative of J and K Police for organizing the ‘Thana Diwas’ which will help in prompt redressal of their issues.“`
