~Div Com Kashmir visits Tertiary Health Care hospitals in Srinagar~

~Inspects covid containment measures, Stresses 100% covid testing of patients, attendants~

The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole on Saturday took an extensive tour of Tertiary Health Care Hospitals in Srinagar and PM Cares Covid DRDO Hospital to inspect covid containment measures in view of Omicron spread in the country]:

“`Div Com visited SMHS Hospital, Lal Ded Maternity Hospital, Bone and Joint Hospital, Barzulla, and DRDO Hospital Khunmoh, Srinagar.He was accompanied by Principal Government Medical College, Srinagar Samia Rashid, officers of Divisional Covid Control Room Kashmir and other officers.

While inspecting the covid containment measures at Hospitals, Div Com directed concerned Medical Superintendents to conduct covid tests of all patients and attendants in view of new covid variant, Omicron.As the Omicron virus is spreading at alarming rate, Div Com enjoined on officers to increase the existing number of covid tests to contain spread of new variant in the valley.

He directed officers that to enforce the wearing of masks by medical and paramedical staff besides patients and attendants in the health institutions.Meanwhile, Div Com was apprised by Dr Samia about functioning of top health institutions in Srinagar, and the number of patients received by those hospitals on daily basis.

Div Com also reviewed facilities available for covid patients including availability of ventilator beds in hospitals, testing kits besides heating and other facilities. He also inspected the functioning of DRDO Hospital and the control room establishment in the hospital.“

DE&CC Kishtwar organises Awareness cum Registration Programme at Chatroo, Kishtwar

District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kishtwar today organised Awareness cum Registration Programme for the youth here at Tehsil Office Chatroo (Inderwal).
The event was conducted to take a follow-up of B2V4 programme wherein educated youth has shown Keen interest for various self employment schemes.
Programme was organised specifically for those Youth who were registered during B2V4 from different panchayats of Tehsil Inderwal.
Various Govt. Self Employment Schemes specifically Mission Youth Schemes like Mumkin, Tejaswini, Spurring Entrepreneurship Scheme, Rise Together, Tourist Village Programme (Home Stays) etc were discussed in detail in the today’s event.
On the occasion, AD Employment, Amit Kumar (ALC Kishtwar) highlighted various Mission Youth Schemes with the participants.
Employment Officer, DE&CC Kishtwar Waseem Hassan also explained in detail various Schemes and their criterias, procedure to apply for the Scheme.
Youth were also informed about different training programmes and start up ideas by making
Mr. Vijay Kumar, Young Professional (MCC Kishtwar).
The event ended with onspot registeration of interested youth under Mission Youth Schemes.

DODA POLICE ARRESTED A FRAUDSTER WHO WAS WANTED IN A SENSATIONAL CASE AND WAS EVADING ARREST FOR THE LAST 03 YEARS.
Continuing its drive to arrest absconders /wanted criminals, Doda Police has arrested one fraudster namely Mohd Mustafeez S/O Mohd Mustaqeem R/O House No. 163 Khunznawar Tehsil Behath District Saharan Pur (UP) who had cheated the people by posing himself a travel agent and had swindled hard earned money (Rs 33.50 lacs) on the pretext of Haj Ticket. In this connection case FIR No. 184/2019 U/S 420 IPC registered at Police Station Doda but he was evading arrest for the last three years.
A massive hunt was launched by Police in which sources were cultivated for generating information about the movement and presence of said absconder and to track him. Ultimately, after receiving specific information about his presence, a Police team of PS Doda, under the supervision of Sh. Jaswant Singh, Dy.SP Hqrs Doda arrested the fraudster on 25.11.2022 and produced him before the Hon’ble Court Doda.
Doda Police is appealing the general public to be aware of the fraudsters /unknown persons and before entering in any monetary deal, verify the credential of the person so that common people may not fell into the trap of fraudsters /cheaters.
