INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TRAINING AND COMPUTER COURSE FOR STUDENTS
In its endeavour to promote IT literacy among students of rural areas, the Indian Army conducted a ‘IT Training Course’ for 16 students including 5 girls of remote village Dhami under the jurisdiction of Nagrota Tehsil of Jammu.
The training capsule aimed at increasing awareness of IT education among students to enable them to take advantage of the vast and expanding opportunities of IT revolution in the country.
The computer orientation capsule was a protracted demand of the locals, since the area is devoid of basic amenities, infrastructure and educational facilities. The humane intiative by the Indian Army for better future of the ‘CITIZENRY’, will empower the youth of the area in establishing themselves in today’s highly competitive education system.
